MEET THE BAND
“An omnibus of blues in lyrics, alternative folk-rock in sound and revelation in voice, Fritz’s new album “Pickin’ Up the Pieces” witnesses a musician rounded well and aiming high. He’s not simply a guitar-wielding rock ’n’ roller.”-Tom Netherland, Bristol Herald Courier
Logan Fritz
Vocals, guitar, bass
@logesaf
A native of Abingdon, Virginia, Logan Fritz has spent most of his life on a stage of one kind or another. He started performing at the storied Barter Theatre in his hometown as a child and fell in love with the stage, and especially with the music. He picked up a guitar and never looked back. He began writing and performing original songs around the age of 13. Growing in his craft, he gathered a few like minded friends and created a band, Logan Fritz & Company. He was thrilled to be invited to perform at Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion for the first time as a solo artist in 2014, and to return each September following with his band.
He has been recognized for his songwriting prowess as the winner of the Richard Leigh Songwriter’s Festival Rising Star award, and as a semi finalist in the Tennessee Songwriter’s Competition. He has continued to grow musically and hone his craft playing with regional legends, Virginia Ground, and a stint with pop-country’s Morgan Wade. With influences ranging from The Carter Family to Tom Petty to Father John Misty, Logan continues writing and arranging his original works with the current iteration of his namesake band, Fritz & Co.
